I've spent Christmas in Taiwan, Germany, Italy, Greece, France, but nothing beats Christmas in San Francisco..
This year, my whole family decided to come to San Francisco to celebrate, we booked a hotel right next to Union Square at the Sir Francis Drake hotel which was a place where I used to always go for a go-to thinking spot. Right after work, we had a special champagne toasts with the team to bring some holiday cheers, obviously we popped more bottles of Vueve like always.. Afterwards, I took a bunch of Christmas gifts and change of clothes to China town where my parents were almost finished eating by the time I got there. Had some expensive dishes, dipped out to get some boba, then we went around Union Square to soak up the Christmas vibes. Got some great family photos in, and wrapped up the Christmas eve around 11pm. Next day, we woke up, and went to this French restaurant called Café de la Presse and no lie, it was so bomb! Never thought I'd be into it no lieeee. We then took an uber to the Fairmont Hotel San Francisco for some photo opportunities, strolled around downtown and then head towards Golden Gate Park for the Japanese Tea Garden and San Francisco Botanical Garden. We had udon in the Japanese Tea Garden by the pond, quiet peaceful then the Warriors lost to the freaken Cavs over some ridiculous refs. Anyway, we then went into Sunset district for some more Chinese food because Papa Kao wants more Chinese food.
Wrapped up a great late lunch, and I took them to my place to rest for a little. All and all, this Christmas was a good family bonding time. It's quiet rare for us to all get together and not have an argument... holy.. I just realized, we really didn't had any argument these past two days!!
I wish you all enjoyed Christmas as much as I did with great companies. Stay warm! And happy cheers.
