#JKASIA17 Day 30: The Forbidden City Cypher

Today, we woke up mad early to head to the Forbidden City! It's quite crazy to know that if you're an emperor back in the days, this is where you spent your entire life in... literally. From about the age of 18, till death... but hey, you're an emperor! 😂 the weather was gloomy today, but didn't change a thing! We roamed around most of the city, every possible corners, and Note's major is actually specialized in ancient Chinese history, so I've learned a good chunk of fun facts from him. After the city, we head to the back mountain where there's a short hike up to see the entire city from above, which was epic... we found a quiet corner and threw down a few sets, and even spun a few times in the very center point of Beijing!

Shortly after, he took me to eat some Beijing traditional snacks, and head back to the area. We had dinner at his grandparents crib, which made me miss my family so much... especially my grandpa, because Note's grandpa is a vet from WWII as well. And everyday he still wears his uniform..

man, what a day.

Sorry for such whack blog posts lately, with limited internet and crunching travel time is difficult but I'm doing my best!

Peace!
