Today, Jay and I woke up mad early to meet and pick up @explorewithjohn for a pretty intense mission. Our original plan was the notorious suicide forest, however there wasn't enough time for us to prepare for whatever may come. So we decided to visit this abandoned theme park in the north of Tokyo. To keep the location secret, I will leave out the name of the place. However, I felt like I was in the TV series "West World"... like not even kidding. Yes, we had to hop some fences, but it wasn't long until we've found the actual theme park from the back side.
We spent about, 3 hours in there.. and honestly, I got scared by almost every mannequins that's hiding in different places. There was some really creepy items that we came across, and also some got us thinking why are they even there? The stories will forever be unknown, but what we do know is that because of the popularity of Disneyland in Tokyo, it drove most of the visitors there instead of this place and caused it to shit down permanently. We've found the theme park's map, brochure, and some ticket stubs.. along with, more things related to this theme park. The photos are all below for you guys to see, and sorry in advance for the amount of photos today's post contains!
When we finally left, we drove out more into the mountains where the third biggest waterfalls in Japan stays. On the way back home, saw some awesome reflections and sunset shots, we also ran and took advantage of that as well... over all, a great successful day, and also my last official day here in Japan before I fly to India tomorrow morning. Thank you @jjreamr for hosting and it was such a good time to kick it with you again like the good old days in Fremont.
